Profile Information

About You: Cheri Maree is affectionately known as “The Love Goddess” ...our very own Earth Angel and unquestionably all Woman. This phenomenal artist draws from her many roles as mother, daughter, sister, lover and friend to create vocals that express her extraordinary experiences. With her combined talents as a vocalist, songwriter, guitarist, drummer, actress and inspirational speaker, Cheri Maree has developed a knack for taking everyday experiences and elevating them to extraordinary heights. Her sultry and powerful vocal style is heralded as unique by critics both at home and abroad.

Ms. Maree began singing as a five year old girl in Muncie, Indiana, her birthplace. She spent her formative years singing in churches, talent contests and local bands, cutting her teeth in a wide array of venues and immersing herself in many different genres. Her professional career came about as a result of an encounter with a pessimistic college professor, who suggested that the enthusiastic young singer “choose another career”. Never one to back away from a challenge, Cheri Maree forged ahead on a quest for her musical destiny. Since then, she has blossomed into a vocalist capable of spanning genres such as jazz, rock, soul and gospel. Her musical eclecticism was captured brilliantly in her 2007 debut release Pure Voice. The album garnered Maree attention from the international independent soul community. Positive nods came from Soul Tracks and Soulchoonz, both highly respected by soul music tastemakers all over the globe. A recent collaboration with renowned producer and keyboardist for Michael Jackson’s final “This is It” tour, Mo Pleasure, has produced the phenomenal upcoming single entitled "Revival of a Love Story" from her sophomoric CD, 360 Degree Woman. Cheri Maree's most recent performance was at the prestigious Carnegie Hall with the Peacemakers Choir singing a vocal score composed and conducted by the world renowned Karl Jenkins. Ms. Maree’s musical talents have afforded her the opportunity to share the stage with Grammy Award winning artists such as Patti Labelle, Ashford and Simpson, Hootie and the Blowfish, Al Jarreau, Dianne Reeves, Patti Austin, Brian McKnight, hit maker Paul Lawrence the list goes on.
In addition to music, Ms. Maree also earned a small feature role as an African Queen in the upcoming romantic comedy Sleeping Around featuring Bill Bellamy, Michael McKean and Wendi McLendon-Covey and is scheduled for release in late 2012.
Cheri Maree is a powerful and dynamic performer whose vocal expression and passion are bound to leave you breathless.
